Benefits/risks of fasting

You'll have to forgive me if this is a stupid question. My toddler was taken to the ER last night because he wasn't breathing; turns out it is pnumonia. Anyway, while he was there I ate half of a rather large apple pie.
If I fast today, will it "balance out" last night? Or, will fasting do some harm? Or will it not make a difference either way?
Needless to say I've been busy taking care of him and the stress is making me want to binge =/

I would just take it as a bad day and continue eating normally today (at least 1200 calories). If you can find the time do some extra exercising - that would be a better way of balancing it out
Hope your kids feel better soon!0 -
Half an apple pie is really not that much. If you are not hungry fast until lunchtime or dinner. It will not harm you. Drink lots of water. Don't let stress trigger you to binge. I normally do this too. I am not like those that lose their appetite when stressed.
I hope your son gets better.0
