My mother in law just bought me the new Hungry Girl Book 200 under 200. I sat down and read the whole cookbook cover to cover and it sound AWESOME!!! I couldn't decide what to make first, so I decided on Top Banana Bread since I already had bananas to use.It is great!!! No wierd ingredients, just pretty normal stuff. Everything in the cookbook is 200 calories or less and there is such a variety. I think I will try sweet cinnamon fritter fries next. I think this will be a cookbook I actually use:) Hope to get some feedback from you guys if you have tried any other recipes from this book!

i don't have the first book. I think I will get it as well. The funny thing is, my mother in law is big into weight watchers, and when we went there for thanksgiving, she made a lot of things out of the hungry girl cookbook. At that time, I didn't have the mindset I do now about healthy food, so I wasn't too interested in those foods. She made pumpkin pie-regular and the hungry girl recipe. I didn't even TRY the low fat one! I guess you could say I was a diet snob. BUT NOW... I can't wait to try them! funny how a little time and a few extra pounds can change your thinking0

I have both HG books.
She did remake a few recipes.
Tons of yummy desserts!

Question?
Do the recipe's call for alot of ingrediants. Im a single mom on a very tight buget and usualy make my foods with simular ingrediants. I love to cook and want these books soos bad!0 -
I have the first book and love it! She has a few recipes in there that calls for the Shiratakee (spelling?) noodles. I was a little skeptical at first being that they are tofu noodles, but her recipe makes an alfredo version using these noodles and once I mixed in the cheese sauce it tasted great. I also made her french toast and again, amazing! Oh, I almost forgot about her recipe for a Starbucks version of a frappaccino! OMG I swear it tastes exactly the same but a fraction of the calories! Seriously, this book is a diet lifesaver!0
