wanted to feel better about myself

My name is Dana... I'm 18. I don't look over weight, I guess I just carry my weight well. But just knowinng still made me feel bad about myself. Im looking to lose 40 lbs. I started my fitnesspal app yesterday. I recently decided to go vegan. So haveing this app really helps me keep track of what I am putting into my body. When I say vegan, I don't mean oh gah I'm going to die if I eat any kind of meat or cheese or whatever. But I'm trying not to for at least 6 out of 7 days a week. Because I would drive myself crazy trying to make sure I didn't eat a thing I wasn't supposed to. But that's about it. I don't have any friends that are doing this with me, so if you want add me :)
