I have been on 1200 cals for around 8 monthes now. Most days I hit it but I have my fair share of dat's that I go over.I just try to not go over maintanance. I am at my original goal weight. I am happy with how I look at this weight(170 lbs. 6' ) except that I still have a little flab on my belly thats keeping my stomach muscles from showing.So.... maybe I need to lose about 10 more. I was thinking of finding out what my maintanance weight should be at 160 lbs and shoot for that number. Is this reasonable? I realize I would lose slower but I'm not in a hurry. Really appreciate any help or other ideas here.

you need to work on reducing your bodyfat not just your weight as such, so strength training, strength training and more strength training! and also consider what you eat, as a lot of people will tell you at abs are made in the kitchen.

Thank you! I eat right. That was the first move I made a little over a year ago. I have just started weight lifting though. So should I up my Cals? And I do eat back excercise cals by the way.

1200 calories is pretty low. I think it is a great idea to slowly increase your calories. If you have been at 1200, I would say find out what maintenance would be for your goal weight, and then increase by roughly 100 per week until you get there. I've heard people suggest eating at maintenance for your goal weight in order to lose, since you should still be in a calorie deficit (albeit a fairly small one if you're close). Particularly if you're mostly happy with your weight, and are okay with losing slow, I'd definitely start trying to increase from 1200.

O.K. Sounds like a plan! Thank you both for the help.
