I have been wondering ( out of pure curiousity) if anyone out there has met a MFP friend and actually got to meet that new friend in
person. Hope that doesnt sound creepy! I was just thinking how close you become with some of your friends on MFP. I live in Canada
but curious if anyone has ever met their friends.

    Not creepy at all...........for me, I really don't know how to navigate the whole online thing to a face to face interaction/friendship thing. A lot of crazies out there, ya know? But honestly, I have never really met anyone on here that fits that definition. But if you want to do it or if you have........more power to ya! :)

    I've never met any of my friends on here in real life. Would be pretty cool if I could meet some of them but they're miles and miles away.

    We all have a different sort of connection on MFP...supporting each others little wins, cheering each other on when we need a push etc. I think it would interesting to meet some of my MFP friends

    Nope, never, but I can see how I would.

    I started off on another weight loss website over a year ago, and there was one woman I felt I really bonded with. Over time, the website went off track. She did too. She left long before I did, came back saying she was failing then disappeared again. In time, I left the site too.

    It's weird, but I really felt like I got on with her in a relatively short time, and I still miss her and wonder how she's getting on. When I joined MFP I searched for her username and she's had an account on here at some point, but I have no idea when and her profile is private. She lived some way away, but I would have loved to meet her.

    I really have no desire to meet people irl that live far away from me. What's the point really? But if someone was close enough to become a running/climbing partner, for sure, I'd love to meet up with them.

    I've met MFP friends in my area...two of which have become very good IRL friends. I've also met MFP friends from out of state, and one of which has become my IRL :heart: .

    Interesting...it seems the majority of people would love to meet their MFP friends. Wendy....I think eventually it will happen for us.
    I have a passport! besides my Canadian MFPs, Wendy, I believe you are the closest in Wisconsin...Great to hear how much people
    treasure their MFPs.......I certainly do! Thanks for the responses.....

    several of us who live in the same area of south east london meet up every other sunday for a walking club. so far around 6 members have participated over different weeks & we even nearly had one from the US meet with us last weekend as he was in town on business, sadly he didn't get the message until too late but it is open to anyone who wants to come. :)
