ive been on here since january and im making good progress. i have been walking a few miles, doing dome recumbant bike/elliptical/rowing machine at the gym....you know...the machines where we hide out at, but tell ourselves 'hey, i am working out'.....ive gone from the 140s to the 130s...so now i cant use the excuse that ill be the biggest most uncoordinated girl at the fill-in-the-blank hardcore class.
i have time, as my wonderful husband watches the kiddos so i can do an hr or 2 a day of whatever gym or activity i want...so there goes that excuse...
i dont have a meniscus or acl in my left knee, but i can wear a brace to protect from injury...so theres that useless excuse down the drain...
whats holding me back from really training? you know...those core or spin or boot camp scenarios where folks feel like sugar free jello afterwards?!
if youve overcome this anxiety, fill me in on how ya did it...im starting to feel really silly just hiding out in the cardio section of our amazing gym.
and yes, i realize on solution might just be to top typing and and just do it.

Hi! I used to have exactly the same anxieties! To be really honest with you I am not sure if they have completely gone or not! Anyway, have you thought about asking one of the instructors in the gym to help get you started? My bf bought me an inital block of 3 session with a trainer at the gym to get me to go! I still choose to go when its quiet, but no longer feel the need to try and go at obscure times to avoid people I might have seen before!
Other option I can suggest which I haven't done is ask a friend to join you?0
