Okay, it's getting bad. I'm going to have to ask my husband to install mirrors all over the house so that I can check out my "form"(rippling new muscles) while I do things like vacuum and clean up toys.

I used to look in the mirror and pick at what I saw. Now I look in the mirror, flex and say "what're you looking at?"

We're going to have to buy a new house with two extra rooms. One for my new home gym, and one for my GIANT head.

I just love my new body because I know how hard I have worked at it!

So come on, jump on this thread and talk about how awesome you are!!!!!

I tried to get a picture of my new guns the other day and could NOT do it(maybe I should start exercising the brain). As soon as my friend comes over, the one who doesn't judge me when I ask her to take vanity pictures for me, I will post some. In the mean time you'll have to take my word for it. Unless you wanna make somethin' of it!!:bigsmile:

I was soooo used to always looking AWAY from any windows or mirrors, that it was a real shock to my system when I saw myself in a full length mirror last month! I just kept staring, cuz I couldn't believe how good I looked! :noway:
I told my husband I want a full length mirror for our home! Guess I've got a big head too! And why not?! We worked hard to lose the weight and we're darned proud of our bodies and ourselves!

Oh I totally check myself out in the mirror all the time now. Anyone who doesn't know me probably thinks I'm soooo conceited.

I am so awesome that, when my BF finally goes back to work, I'll be ready and able to buy a dancer pole.

I just haven't decided whether it's going to be portable or stationary. If it's portable, there may be some issue with having enough floor space to do all the tricks I want to do, if it's stationary, I'll have floor space but it has to go in the bedroom (gee I wonder why). Pole dancing is some of the best exercise I have ever had, and now that I don't smoke, I know for sure how much fitter I will be.

I loved pole dancing so much that even when I danced, if it WASN'T my turn onstage, I would use the spare pole on the satellite stage, just so that I could be dancing. It was not that long ago (6 yrs) that I stopped, and trust me, even when I was 40, I put some 23 year olds to shame in terms of style, endurance, ability, and energy  .

My vanity thing is taking a lot of photos of myself!

I used to hate the way I looked so much and anytime a camera was nearby, I would try to hide behind whatever was closest....a table..my son!  It was crazy!

So, I change my av a lot on here. Partly because I get bored and like to change it around..but also because I like to show how I currently look. Even with a few pregnancy pounds, I am not stressing really...just enjoying it and enjoying LOOKING pregnant. The last time, the bump sort of got lost within the rest of the weight on my body!

But it is truly nice to not absolutely hate the way I look anymore. And in fact, I see my photos and for the first time I feel proud. A huge reason is knowing how hard I worked to do this. I didn't try any gimmicks or quick fixes. I just WORKED and did it.

I'm not where I want to be yet, but I love looking in the mirror at myself now. Those huge hips are gone, I have a waist and I think my legs look fantastic in jeans. Yay me!

I still have a long way to go, but every now and again I actually see myself, not the image I have of myself and I can see the changes happening. I can see my face is thinner and I actually have some definition appearing at my sides and in my arms. The most welcome is seeing the belly and back fat shrink. I actually saw some rare pics of me from christmas (like Tam did, I try to avoid them) and I couldn't believe the difference 31lbs can make. It won't be too long and my place will be full of mirrors :)

We should be proud of our successes and if that means that we are always looking in the mirror or at a camera so be it!

Wow this is a GREAT thread!

The more weight I am losing the more I stare at myself in the mirror! I will try on clothes and feel good, turn up my music and dance in front of the mirror.

Also has anyone been taking longer to get ready now? I now do my hair more, wear makeup almost everyday and have been tanning too!

I have to share this. My great grandma passed away the other night and her funeral is tomorrow so today I went out and bought a new outfit so my family can see how much I have lost! I am SOO very happy shopping I went from a 18/20 pant to a 14/15 and from a XXL shirt to a M/L!!!

I am so happy I'm not the only one addicted to mirrors now! I swear, I can't walk past one without looking at the new and improved me. It is such a cool feeling running on the treadmill at the gym and seeing myself, thinking. "who the hell is that thin girl? Oh, yeah...that's me!" And the weight room...I LOVE seeing all those muscles and definition. I am even starting to get a hint of a six pack for the first time ever!
Here is to everyone here for busting their butts to get healthy! :drinker:

Holy cow! 58 pounds! You are doing great! And no, you're not the only one drawn to mirrors now. Until I posted this thread, I thought I was the only one:laugh:

I know this thread is old but I wanted to add... I DO I DO, take more time getting ready that is!! I've started going to the stylist again as well. Taking more pride in my appearance. I've been loving shopping for new clothes. So many of the cute 'In' styles are fitting now and that is hugely exciting. I use to be embarassed because the clothes I'd try on didn't fit right, always too tight or would appear disproportioned in one way or another, and now I have the opposite problem. The sizes I select are often too big, not because I'm picking bigger sizes but because everytime I go out shopping I've dropped a dress size. It's GREAT! I AM GREAT!

    Loving this Vanity thread...

Ladies you've done awesome and should be proud when looking at yourself in a mirror.

I hope to be there one day.

For now, even at a slight loss, I look in the mirror, and pick out.. Ok I see bit more arms, stomach is going in, oops can lose more here, lose some there....

Of course being a guy I have to flex in the mirror.

Then every conversation ends with....... I'll see you again soon, there's lots more to go .
