Hi All
I'm starting NLRFW tomorrow. I do alot of weights at the moment but not really quite the same (I do body pump, and lift weights at home), but not done a strict lifting program before.
I'm upping my calories to 2000 as advised but kinda freaked about eating that much. My logical part of my brain says its good and that I need to eat that much but the stupid part of my brain says way too many calories.
Just wondering if anyone has done NLRFW, your thoughts, your experiences, any advice and what success you had?
Thanks

I want to try this program next. I have started out with Body For Life & I really like it a lot.0

When you're working out, your body needs those calories.
I have read the book and been doing it for several weeks. I have noticed some improvements with my body. I feel much stronger, and more confident in the weight room surrounded by men. I don't think I've lost much weight (not trying to), but my clothes feel more loose.
Good luck, and keep strong.0 -
I followed plant raining (not food) plan for a while, but in stage two they took away my squats and so I stopped lifting. As of january I've gotten back into lifting but I find it easier to just go in and do what I want to do. That said, I am glad I started the program because it started my obsession with heavy lifting, it makes me feel strong and powerful. However, I'm lifting to maintain my muscle in a calorie deficit, not gain muscle and lose small amounts of fat, so I couldn't see the logic in the eating plan. I'm a scientist, so I'm pretty much married to the laws of thermodynamics!
Tl;dr: you're gonna love it!0 -
I am nearly finished Stage One of it and I love it- in fact I am slightly obsessed with it!
A few months ago I could barely lift a finger and now I can lift 35Kg- I just wish I had started it sooner, all those years of running (badly) never did as much for me as this has in a couple of months0
