Small Success, but a BIG step!

So I've been trying and trying to lose weight and I did manage to drop 5 lbs in a month or two, but recently I started going on hikes with my significant other We try to go three times a week but its only the second week. In between, or when we have to work we will go on 30 minute walks around the neighborhood....
Anyway my success is... I was finally able to make it to the top of a trail that I had tried earlier... which was such an awesome feeling!!
It is a 2.4 mile hike considered to be "moderately challenging" and i was only able to make it 2 miles last week. The round trip was 4 miles and it took me 225 minutes.
WELLLL yesterday we took the same trail and I actually made it to the top, 2.4 miles up and 2.4 down in 210 minutes!!! I went farther AND shaved off 15 minutes
I was super excited and was reminded of a poster that I saw: "You can be sore tomorrow, or sorry tomorrow... your choice"
Well today I'm not feeling too sore and I'm gonna go for a jog around the neighborhood because I'm so motivated
Even though my scale isnt changing as fast as I'd like, and my tape measure isnt getting any shorter, I have better endurance and I KNOW I can accomplish my goals!!
