what's your experience with workout calories by the day or week?
Is it better to burn a consistent amount of calories daily or more some days for the same weekly total?
I've recently stepped up my workouts, but I can't keep it up daily due to time constraints.
So should I average it out & do less daily? Or do more on the days I can?
whaddaya think?
does it matter?

In my opinion it does not matter. However, you burn those calories is what counts. You may see more cardiovascular benefits from higher intensity work outs though. What about 20 minutes of very high intensity every day (4-5 days a week).....I have been doing this and seeing results. This way you burn calories, get cardiovascular benefits and make time constraints. Check out Cross Fit work outs (you can google it.)

    G-

I only up my calories on days I workout.
If I miss a workout, then I have to make sure that
    I don't eat more calories.

Remember: Calories In - Calories Out = -Calorie Deficit
This is my daily goal. You must burn (exercise cals + BMR cals) more than you eat.

If you want to lose you follow this... BUT don't beat your self up if your not at a defict every day.
This is just what works for me...You also have to remember that your Metabolism is going up.
So, what works for me or others may not be the same for everyone.

Good Luck! Play with our numbers see what happens.....

    I wanted to also add:

If I stay consistent with my workouts...one or two cheat meals or going out to eat doesn't really affect my progress.

Key word 'meal' not entire day of crap pushing!

I don't know the answer for you...but I was given a 30 minute work-out from a trainer that can be done at home. I know if you could take out 1 of the circuits and it can be done in 20. It can be done at home, and it really get your heart pumping. Let me know if you are interested. Jo PS...Completely understand the time issue.

    thanks
I guess I wasn't very clear. It made perfect sense in my head.:ohwell:
I can burn 400-600 calories easily 5-6 days a week.
I can burn 1000 calories on 3-4 days.
Is it better to spread out the exercise?
I usually eat some of my exercise calories - all if it's a special occasion. So I'm always at a deficit.

I think both are fine...depends what works for you and your schedule.

Which have you been more consistent with?
    And is it working?
I guess if it stops working, switch it up.

I'm not seeing any difference, but it's only been 2 weeks. I'm trying to get past a slow spot.
