I just got a Fitbit today and would welcome any advice on how to make sure I have correctly set it up. I have an account on MFP and Fitbit. It shows the calories consume on my Fitbit account as per MFP. How does this calculate the steps as activity or calories burned to MFP? When? How?
I am a little behind the times when it comes to these types of things :) I can learn I just need to know what to learn! LOL
Thanks in advance for all of you help and advice.

WELCOME! I knew I would convert you eventually... LOL I just followed the instructions and let MFP and FitBit talk to each other. I let MFP decide on the final tally - with info from FitBit. I have noticed on some walks that FitBit increases the calories burned - somehow recognizes the effort? If you do alot of walking and let your FitBit sync and you don't enter your exercise about the same time - FitBit will add an exercise entry with FitBit adjustment. But as soon as you enter your excersise on MFP - the FitBit number will decrease. Oh you only want to enter all of your data on MFP. I also like it to see how many times I am restless during the night. I like the sleep function for that. It has surprised me at times.

Oh you will find that your FitBit will remind you to get up and move. It does for me...
