Seeing everyone on here going thru the same thing makes me truly come to tears. It makes me more excited to get this crap off me. I cant wait to do weigh ins and meet new people. All those willing to be my friend feel free to add me and I'll do the same. I would like to weigh in every Monday starting with my current weight this Monday coming up. I hope I found someone who is with me on this!

Monday weigh-ins would have been disastrous and disheartening for me. I don't go out to eat often, but if I do, it's always on a weekend. And restaurant food is always higher in sodium than my home cooked food. So come Monday, I always weigh 3-5 pounds more than I would on a Thursday, Friday or Saturday weigh in.

Once after shrimp pesto alfredo and penne, I weighed 8 pounds more the next day! And I know darn well it wasn't 28,000 calories worth of shrimp & pasta!

For some people, a Monday weigh in is a good way to rein themselves in on the weekend, but for me, it would just prevent me from living a normal life. I don't want to be the "No, I can't go out to eat with you guys" friend.

Hey you can weigh in whenever you want if Monday's arent good for you then make it on a day that is better for you. As long as you stay focused and do what you have to do to reach your goal. I would love to look for your weigh ins on whatever day and help support and motivate you. You dont have to stop going out to eat with your friends. you can limit yourself to different meals when you do go out to eat. Hopefully your friends that you are out with support you as well. Good luck!
  • I'll join you, my first weigh in is Monday....I'm nervous!
  • I'm weighing in typically on Mondays and Fridays - can't help myself from seeing the steady progress lately since I found my secret to success!! I'd love more friends that are active and serious about losing weight or have lost the weight and are now mentoring. :) I'm on here daily. :-)

:-) Jamie, I owe a lot of my success to you! You started me on the right path... I gotta give you credit! It's amazing that a simple switch from canned fruit and vegetables to fresh / frozen made such a difference in how I saw food. It's cheaper (at least frozen is), forces me to eat better so it doesn't go bad, and it tastes soooooo much better! I'm slowly transitioning from processed foods to a cleaner way of eating. It's time. I've already suffered with some health effects of being overweight and not eating right. I never want to have to go under the knife because of my poor choices in eating again.

Furthermore, I no longer am buying into the hype of starving myself to lose weight. I eat roughly 2000 calories a day right now and I'm nursing my baby (-500 calories burned). If I were to add exercise, I'd have to eat those calories as well... for example, I'd have to eat 2200-2400 calories a day (but the right calories). I honestly struggle to eat all my calories in a day as it is, and I don't want to fill the void with JUNK! Anyway, that's a little about what I'm doing currently. I'm sure I could lose more than I am right now, but I personally am not on a racetrack to get to the finish line. Slow and steady... I want this to be permanent. I'm changing my life FOR GOOD by learning how to eat right!
