What to do when sick?

I've been doing really good with diet and exercise, but now I'm sick. :sick: What do you all do to continue reaching your diet and exercise goals but also getting well?

  • you have to let your body rest so it can heal yourself. Drink lots of fluids, and eat the right things and before you know it, you'll be back at it again! get better soon!

    Focus on getting tons of fluids, Vitamin C & D, resting!! (because the gym will still be there tomorrow), and many people are able to eat chicken noodle soup when sick. Take it as an opportunity to try out a recipe if you're able to get out of bed. Really, your health is very important and working out / overexerting yourself while you're sick can actually make you even more sick. Your body needs all the energy it can get, along with rest, to ensure you get better quick! If you can do a little light exercise, that's fine, but don't push yourself.

    Depends on what kind of sick...cold, sniffles, ect do what u feel up to. Flu, stomach bug....rest and get better.

    it's really hard to get the daily 1200 calories in while sick, so i sip broth instead of water and snack on apple sauce all day. if you like tea, add extra honey and lemon. take exercising slow. if you don't feel right, don't try it. get extra sleep and eat a lot more fruit and drink tons of water.

    soup, soup and more soup, its usually really low in calories, so you don't have to worry about over eating. Sleep as much as possible, cause that nap will actually burn calories. lots of water, or hot tea with honey and ginger, ginger helps stop upset stomach and diarrhea. This is what works for me, anyways

    Cut yourself some slack to get better. Eat what helps you feel better, exercise lightly IF you feel well enough, and get back on track 100% when you are feeling better.

    I've been sick this week- it stinks! I have skipped exercise this week and gone for the extra sleep instead. My head was pounding from a sinus headache any time I moved for four days straight. I ate lots of soup, canned Campbell's soup kind that's super high in sodium. Not so great normally but it made me drink more which is great when you're sick. I drank lots of super hot tea to soothe sore throat too. If you look in the tea aisle they have teas for all reasons.
