so sweaty

i never used to sweat much at all.. the last year or so i have noticed that i sweat heaps.. anyone know why this would happen? Is it getting older? is it because im fatter than i used to be.. its mostly my head too

    I don't know why, but Im the same way. I sweat buckets lol And I agree...You have amazing eyes!

    I started sweating something awful after I had my daughter and it got worse after I had my son. I hope it has something to do with being overweight and that it will subside when I'm fit. Summer is awful here in the Midwest. A lot of the time I don't even wear makeup because it runs off of my face two minutes after I walk out the door.

    It is your body's response to exercising. It had to learn to cool off your body, so that it doesn't overheat, because it can't tell the difference between you walking up a flight of steps, and going from 0 - an 8 mph run... just as an example. Your body HAS to be ready! :drinker:
  • Do you swim? Sometimes if swimming in coldish water your body gets use to generating more heat and in normal conditions you sweat.

    I totally understand this problem. I sweat bucket loads. It is so embarrassing. Friends comment on it, so I joke about it but it is not funny in the least. Does anyone know of anything that can be done to reduce the amount of sweat? Will it slow down as I reduce my weight? Thanks for any ideas.

    When I'm drinking lots of water and exercising regularly I tend to sweat more not only during the work outs, but in general as well. When I took time off from my training schedule and was drinking less water, I sweat less. They come in tandem though, so I can't say if it's because of the extra water or the working out. heh

    Sweat is made to cool the body. Fat helps to insulate the body. Chances are if you are fatter than before, you have thicker insulation thereby causing the body to sweat more to cool it.

    Meh, if you've always been sweaty you'll always be sweaty (like me, it's in my damn lebanese genes :P)
    But if it's something that has onset 'out of the blue', it could be gaining weight (but that takes TIME), or you could be coming down with something. Might wanna take it easy next couple of days ;)
