Vitamin B12 with Lipotropics

Lipotropics are essential for the health of your liver. The liver is an organ responsible for removing fat and toxins from your body, so when it's healthier, it will work better for you. Vitamin B12 gives you a huge energy boost, which helps you to burn calories.

The vitamin cocktail included in the B12 and Lipotropic shots are compounds that enhance liver function and increase the flow of fats and bile from the liver and gallbladder. By definition, a lipotropic substance decreases the deposit, or speeds up the removal of fat within the liver. The key ingredients used to make these shots are Choline, Methionine, Inositol, and Vitamin B12.

Vitamin B12 is essential for helping to form new, healthy cells in the body. It also boosts energy, helping to increase activity levels.

Choline supports the health of the liver in its processing and excretion of chemical waste products within the body. Moreover, it is required for the transport and metabolism of fats and cholesterol within the body, which is important for the healthy support of the endocrine, cardiovascular and hepatic systems. It is a component of the Vitamin B complex.

Methionine is one of the sulfur-containing amino acids and is important for many bodily functions. It acts as a lipotropic agent to prevent excess fat buildup in the liver and the body, is helpful in relieving or preventing fatigue and may be useful in some cases of allergy because it reduces histamine release.

Inositol, a nutrient belonging to the B vitamin complex, is closely associated with choline. It aids in the metabolism of fats and helps reduce blood cholesterol. Inositol participates in the action of serotonin, a neurotransmitter known to control mood and appetite.

* If you have sulfa allergies you cannot take the Lipo/B12 coctail. *

Why do you want to take these?

If you are on medications, speak with your Doctor. A public board is not the place for medical advice.

My sisterinlaw did these along with diet pills and a low carb diet. She felt like crap and lost 30lbs fast but no dress sizes. She didn't lose much fat she list mostly lean muscle mass. She also gained it back.
  • I am taking these, this was not for advice. I am under close doctor supervision, while on a strict diet. This vitamin obviously has different effects on people..I have only had one shot, but I feel awesome. My energy level is through the roof!!

I'd like to see the clinical studies that support the assertions made on the website that you cut & pasted this from (http://achievemedicalweightloss.net/medication.html) They seem to be long on anecdotes but short on data.

If you're going to just cut & paste from a website please have the courtesy to attribute it rather than presenting as your content - plagiarism is very uncool (& we wonder why our kids do it for school projects???)
  • I wasn't trying to make this my own. I was simply putting it out there so ones that are looking for an energy boost could do more research. Obviously you didn't have any trouble finding where I found this.
