P90X or Insanity - thoughts?

I currently do heavy plyometrics and cross train with a personal trainer.
I was watching P90X on the TV and noticed ALOT of the moves they do are what I am currently doing 4-5x per week.
Husband and I have decided to begin, just do not know which one to buy first. Anyone have any opinions or thoughts on either one or both?
Thanks!

I am currently working on my 3rd round of p90x. I have friends that have done insanity for a short while then went to p90x. You have to be in great shape to do p90x and even better shape to do insanity. It is harder than you think it is. With that being said I suggest you look at the minimum health requirements before starting either and chose based on what you would qualify for. I was in what I thought was good shape for p90x and it still kicked my butt. I ran track in high school and played college football and ultimate frisbee to give you an idea of my heath background. Hope that helped a bit.0

I'm doing Insanity after tons of research and seeing before and after photos, Insanity will be a better choice for me. I want to look tone not muscular. And I know a few ppl who've done Insanity and they look great!!!! I've been doing Insanity for a week and boy is it hard, for me that is. But each day it's a little easier and the 40min goes so fast and I'm not bored with it. I get bored very fast and with this dvd set I haven't.0

I have been working Insanity cardio in with P90X resistance. After doing Insanity, P90X cardios were good but I sought more challenge. Insanity is high impact. At nearly 300 pounds, it's been horrible on my knees, but I really love the way I feel when I get through these workouts. I think that the eating plan on Insanity is easier to follow, too. Personal trainers are using P90X moves. Horton didn't invent most of them. He just put the system together. If your partner provides enough accountability, I strongly recommend using the DVDs and firing the trainer. Go back to the trainer once you've gotten all that you can from the DVDs.0
