Calories in lamb??
Inebriated
Posts: 271
I just bought some butterflied leg of lamb (steaks, I think? It's not a roast.) at Save On Foods today but I'm confused about the calories in it. I've found different things on the database and don't know how I should go about logging it. Before I bought pre-marinated ones and the calorie count was lower than what I've seen on the database.
Should I go by what I used before? How would you log it? :ohwell:

I'm not sure what you're asking, did you search the database for "leg of lamb"? There are a TON of entries. A lot of them are based on weight, so how much do yours weigh? If they are pure lamb with no marinate or anything else on them the database should be close enough if you can't find your brand...
For reference, I buy "Private Selection - Leg of Lamb Steak"...0 -
I did that, that's why I'm confused. I have a container of them and it weighs 622g altogether. They have no brand name or marinade, they're just wrapped in a plastic white container with plastic wrap. I'm wondering if I should just log it as this: Lamb - Leg, sirloin half, lean only, raw.0
