What to do when you are sick?

I have been extremely sick for the past two days. I don't want to get into the nasty details, but I am unable to keep down solid foods. I just now (after about 36 hours) have been able to keep down some Diet Sprite.
Yesterday I was so sick that I didn't log into MFP. But what could I log even if I did?
Obviously I have lost quite a bit of weight being so sick. I was doing really well this week, and I hope some of that wasn't due to just my illness.
I am not sure what to log in on my weigh in (I weigh in on Mondays) ;because I am afraid that I will gain a few pounds right back when I get back to eating "real" food.
I am extremely weak right now and I am not sure how long I should wait to get back to my exercise routine. This is new to me to begin with, and to add the illness into the mix has gotten me really confused. Any suggestions?

hmmm well i think i would skip the weigh in this week. When you get back to being able to eat and move then i would weigh the next week. Just my thought0

You should wait until you feel better to exercise. You probably don't have any strength anyway and you could make yourself sicker. Concentrate on feeling better then get back on track. Don't feel bad about it either, happens to everyone.0

Maybe you shouldn't log your weight this week in order to get a more accurate reading. The loss of fluids and the lack of food will put you at an falsely low weight I believe.
As for exercise, don't start again until you are strong enough. Give your body some time to recover or you may open yourself up for more illnesses. Eat well all week and you will be okay without exercise until you are ready. Make sure to get lots of sleep!0 -
First you need to slowly nurse yourself back to health. I wouldnt log in until your eating habits are like normal. I also wouldnt exercise until you are stronger. You have lost lots of electrolites and may be dehydrated. Drink lots of fluids and we will see you back in full swing shortley.0

If you lost quite a bit of weight in just a few days, you are probably dehydrated. If you have someone to go to the store, have them pick up a sports drink (with electrolytes) and some nutrition drinks like Ensure or Boost. See if you can keep them down. Hint: Chocolate is about the only flavor tolerable. Drink as much water as you can.0

I have been sick since Thursday nite and am finally starting to feel like myself again. I had a stuffed up head and sore throat and then I started coughing. Arrrggghhhh!!
I did absolutely nothing from Thursday nits thru today except I did drag myself to work on Saturday. I hate that I couldn't do my walking, but hey this is life and there are always bumps in the road. I wasn't really all that hungry till last nite. But I do crave toast when I am not feeling good.
I work tomorrow, but am off again Tuesday and Wednesday. As much as I want to get back to my walking I am not gonna push myself. I know if I take a few more days to really feel like myself it will be better in the long run.
If I was you I would get on the scale on Monday just to see where I was, but I would wait till next Monday to actually log it, but that's me.
I hope you continue to feel better, but don't push yourself. We are making lifestyle changes, not trying to get this done overnite!!0
