So I finished my first official day. I tried yesterday but ended up eating pizza after a failure of my gluten free crust.

Feel free to peek at my diary from today and give any critique you may have. I'd love some insight on any changes I could make.

I did not exercise today, so I kept my calories around 1400. I will admit it was hard to even eat that much. I wasnt hungry for dinner but knew I should try to eat a bit more yet.

You can do it! also, you'll probably notice that you feel awesome in a few days. I've been gluten free for about two months (I believe I unintentionally ate food with gluten twice and I felt like poo). It was a great decision for me. I get up easier, have more energy, and feel healthier all around.

As for your diary, looks good! You don't need to eat four or five times a day if you don't want to or aren't hungry. You'll find you won't be as hungry because gluten often increases hunger and cravings.

Do you track fat? If you are going gluten free, you may want to up your fat in order to increase satiety. I've been following the primal way of eating and I find I only need to eat two or three times with no snacking because of the amount of healthy fat that I eat.

I hope this comes off as helpful because that is how it is meant :) If you need any support or anything feel free to friend me!!

I don't usually track fat, but I think that may be a good idea. With gluten-free, I imagine most of my diet will be vegetables and fruit. Which is great, but its easy to digest and doesn't stick with me long.

    Thank you!

It's hard to make this drastic change in your diet, but you will feel so much better if you really stick to it! I recommend Goggling gluten free... you will be amazed at all the information out there!

There are a lot of gluten free processed foods such as breads and cookies, but they tend to have a lot of calories. I recommend really limiting those if possible.

spngebobmyher is following the primal way of eating... it is a great plan for people that need to avoid gluten! You may want to look into that. I am following a low carb plan and that works very well too.

Read ingredients! Boca burgers are full of gluten, as are most vegetarian meat analogs. Go with a portabella burger, Sol Cuisine, Sunshine Burger, or something homemade. Assume that any veg meats have gluten in them unless you know otherwise.

Make sure your hash browns don't have wheat in them.

Feel free to browse my diary.
