LOL @ my first two workouts, from one year ago

So, I started working out one year ago tomorrow. I was using EA Sports Active 2.0 for PlayStation 3 exclusively. I decided to look up what I did as my first workout, my very first steps into a healthier lifestyle. So I logged into the EASA2 site and went back on my calendar to see what I did. And I laughed.
Looking at this, I can't believe how far I have come! This is ridiculously easy now (of course), but for my ERR2-pound fat *kitten* back then? Mission impossible. 12 minutes total, including the initial fitness/heart rate recovery test (foot fires + walking cooldown). What a joke. But you know what? It was something - it was a start. And the stat tracking hooked me. Seeing the numbers going up meant I could quantify my progress when the scale and mirror showed me nothing.
Here's my second workout, the next day:
This day, I decided to let the game's built-in virtual trainer generate a workout routine for me. I still remember how I got about half-way into the mountainclimbers, having my heart rate shoot up to over 160, and collapsing on the floor. I thought I was going to die, but I was actually saving my life.
After a break, I caught my breath, but I didn't even finish the workout - I did only four reps of shoulder presses afterwards and that was the end of my workout for the night. No cooldown or anything.
These are my humble beginnings, and reflecting on them now, a year later, is almost as awesome as seeing my weight loss or looking in the mirror. I am still fat, but I'm probably in the best shape of my entire life. I will post pics of myself another day, as my journey has only truly begun.

(PS: I'm open to a few more friend requests, but do check my profile first to see if we have anything in common other than health.)

Nicely done! Keep up the good work. I agree that seeing the stats is very motivating in itself.0

Funny that you posted this, I was just telling someone about my first day at fitness bootcamp and how I almost walked out a quarter way in because I barely made it through the warm up... now I sometimes throw in and evening bootcamp after the morning one!0

Hey, everyone starts somewhere. You started at a 12 minute workout, kept working at it, and a year later you've lost 63 lbs. Love the positive attitude!0

Thanks everyone! If someone sees this who is in the position I was in, your takeaway should be this: don't give up! Every bit helps, and you'll get stronger each time. Just stick with it.Hey, everyone starts somewhere. You started at a 12 minute workout, kept working at it, and a year later you've lost 63 lbs. Love the positive attitude!0
