Really low fat banana split!

I've seen recipes going around using frozen bananas. I tried it tonight! OMG...good.
Slice and freeze bananas. Once frozen, puree in food processor until smooth. Scoop into a bowl and top with sliced strawberries, a bit of whipped cream and a drizzle of chocolate syrup. I just made one, used extra whipped cream and it was under 200 calories, with 3 grams of fat. It was really good.
Nothing but frozen bananas! No preservatives or fat. The whipped cream can be something you make yourself. You control what goes into this little sundae:bigsmile:
Next time I might even add some fresh pineapple. It's so versatile! The frozen banana gets really smooth, just like ice cream.
I didn't give the breakdown, because if you use 2 bananas, it might be 2 servings, or 4 if the servings are smaller. Just keep track of what you add and do the little bit of math. Bananas, strawberries, cream, maybe chocolate syrup, maybe some chocolate shavings. Possibilities are endless. TRY IT!!!!!!

In college I worked at an ice cream shop. I used to make myself a snack similar to this as a lower-calori option.
Slice a banana length wise, drizzle with a tbsp of melted peanut butter, top with homemade whipped cream and chocolate shavings or sprinkles. Less than 300 calories. YUM!0 -
Both of these sound amazing. I can't wait to try them!0

OMG...made this tonight and it's SO GOOD!!!! The bananas weren't getting smooth and creamy right away so I added a 1/4 cup skim milk and that made the consistency perfect. I split it into two bowls, topped it with some chocolate syrup, and gave one to my very skeptical roommate. We both loved it!
Thank you!0 -
