I have never heard anything about this, but who knows, it could be one of those things that truly works. No harm in trying, I might.0

I would take that information with the proverbial grain of salt.
Honey has all sorts of things that are good for you and is an excellent sweetener for coffee, tea etc but I'm not sure if there's any benefit to be derived from taking a spoonful just before bed (I couldn't find any objective and credible sources supporting the idea) but I suppose if you count it in with your calories for the day there's probably no harm in it (despite being pretty much pure carbs honey has a relatively low glycemic index ranging from the low 30s to the high 60s depending on the source)0 -
I have heard that live honey that hasn't been treated or heated in any way along with a 1/4 teaspoon of cinnamon (ground or fresh) infused in luke warm water then drunk acts as a good cleanse and is supposed to boost metabolism. Personally i don't like the drink so i have a teaspoon of honey and the cinnamon on a piece of wholemeal toast. Don't know if its boosted my motabolism or not but my skin and hair look good.0
