Wasn't sure if someone had asked or not

Is it normal for your bum muscles to ache after a few days of running...? After last week, just walking makes me sore all along the upper back part of my lower body, thighs and all. Not sure what to do about it. I don't have heating pads.

Yes that is normal. The best thing to do is get back out there and keep going.
Run one day and walk the next or alternate cardio and strength training.

Oh, I used to hurt in places I didn't think possible after a run! As you get used to it, you won't hurt as bad. Be sure to check your form, especially if your back continues to hurt. Try a nice long soak in a bathtub or a long hot shower to help loosen some of those muscles up again.

Thank you very much! I'll try to push through it a little more. :)

These are shear torture but after a really hard run try an ice bath. Fill up the tub with enough really cold water just barely cover your thighs when you're sitting in it and toss in a couple of trays of ice cubes. If you can stand it, stay in for 10-15 minutes.

The theory is that the cold restricts blood flow which in turn slows down metabolic activity and tissue breakdown and reduces inflammation.

HA! Totally with this. I'm am NOT a cold person. BUT! I'll try anything at least once. Just have to find a tub now. And steal a bucket of ice from somewhere...
