A digital scale is more accurate because the springs in a dial scale stretch out over time.0

What do you mean when you say stretch out?0

I've always seen/heard/read that a cheap digital scale is no more accurate, and occasionally less accurate, than a good dial scale. My digital scale is on crack, for no apparent reason, so I log my weight using an older dial scale which is far more consistent and realistic.0

I have a very basic dial scale, which has been fine. Wondering if it's worth the investment to buy the kind that can determine body fat %, etc.0

ehhhh they both suck! :grumble: buuuuuuuuuut if I had to choose, I'd say digital is more accurate.0

Also, fitbit is coming out with the Aria which will most likely connect with their website, and possibly the MFP site as well.0
