Exercise and calorie intake

I'm fairly new at counting calories. I used to be on WW so I was so used to counting points. I am now working out at least 3 to 4 times a week - mostly cardio with some strength training and ab workouts. I notice that the inches do come off faster but the weight coming off is a struggle. I'm not sure if I'm eating enough calories or not. To be honest, I don't eat all the calories I'm allowed on here after a work out because I'm truly not hungry. Is there a rule on how much you should be eating to see the lose on the scale when you are working out? I have a lot to lose (about 100 pounds) and yes, I know I should be happy losing inches...but the scale needs to go down too!! Right?! Some people say not to worry about it because the inches are coming off but I guess that's what WW did to me....made me feel as if I should see a loss every single week. Help.....advice please?

It might help a little more if we could see your diary so we know what you're eating/earning for calories. Hard to give advice based on just what you've told us.0

More weight training! Build up the muscles so that they can torch more calories on a daily basis. It takes more calories to maintain muscle than fat, so if you have more muscle you have a higher base metabolism. It may cause a stall on the scale in the short term, but a much more gratifying drop later on!0

If you don't eat, you will lose the wrong kind of weight; muscle mass. And when you lose lean muscle mass you decrease your metabolism. So just like with WW where you add points for exercise, you add calories with exercise here and you should aim to eat 50-75% of them.0

Watch your salt intake.......and stay at 1200 or less calories daily. With your exercise you should start seeing the weight come off.....good luck0

Thanks everyone! I spoke with my trainer last night and he said basically what all of you said. I just have to be patient as I build more muscle. If the inches are coming off, I must be doing something right Thanks for the support!0
