Hello friends! My name is Krista and I am 36yrs old.
I too, am trying to rid myself of the baby weight! Unfortunately, my 'baby' is 2.5yrs old!LOL! It's been a struggle trying to work, keep up with 5 kids (ages 2,8,11,14, &16) and maintain a healthy lifestyle. This time I am bound and determined to rid myself of this last 15lbs! Before I got pregnant with Parker (the baby), I was in the shape of my life! I worked out 5 times a week as well as had/have a physical job (I clean houses) and was in the smallest size I had ever been-a size 2! I still can't believe that.....
My goal, however, is not to be in a size 2 again. A healthy size 6 would suit me just fine! Hell, I am happy that I have actually lost 15lbs so far! For me that is a huge accomplishment and has really helped me to stay on track! Technically, to make my first goal I have 15 more lbs to go which would bring me to 140lbs. My long term goal is 130lbs.
I am happy to be here and I hope that we can really lift each other up with words of wisdom and encouragement!
PS-I recently joined myfitness pal but have been losing weight since January

Here are a few tips I would suggest:
1. Make MFP your home page
2. Log in EVERYDAY, read the message boards post.. Keep your mind actively thinking about it.
3. Don't try to change too much at once, Implement 1 change every week or so. Little tweeks over time seem to work best or at least better than butt load of change all at once
4. Always be honest. We al fall on our way to the top, be honest, no one is judging you here... we all support eachother
5. Keep trying new things until you find what works for you (It took me a while to find my plan and it works great for me but I wouldn't push it on anyone else)
6. Its easier to lift weights than the burdens of carrying weight.
7. take it one day at a time.
8. Have a cheat day or meal, where you eat what you want
9. Try to talk to yourself as if you are talking to your child or loved one. Often times the thing we need most is to be a better friend to ourselves.
10. Smile.
Remember, in life you can choose to be the thermometer or the thermostat, You can choose to be a victim of your environment, or you can choose to control it.
I won't say good luck because I don't think that has anything to do with it!0
