Some days are just like that! If it's ALL the time though, maybe you're not getting enough protein, and or drinking lots of water to help fill you up.0

Drink green tea. It's a natural suppressant.0

My advice would be to look at WHY you are craving food...are you hungry? bored? is there something specific your body wants like chocolate that you think you cannot have? My personaly experience is that unless you figure out the why's of thing.....pill supressants aren't going to fix anything if you are looking for long term, overall health...because a lot of it is psychological. I was the same....i was a BIG snacker....so nothing "fixed" me until I looked at why. I realized I thought i was "entitled" to snack....so i had to reprogram myself to ask myself WHY I'm hungry, if it's cause Im hungry then I definitely eat, but any other reason and I don't. Also, if Im craving chocolate or something...then I have it and work it into my calories for the day. Denying something only makes the cravings worse and worse until you binge and it goes from having a little 100 cal kit kat to and entire chocolate cake!!hahaha.. Good luck!
P.s...the STRONGEST appetite supressant is will power!!! Just say...i may feel "snackish" but its only cause Im bored...and so i WILL not just snack for no reason, my body doesnt require it. Then go do something productive like take a walk, drink water...something!!0 -

There was a little chart that looked like a pac man video game it was in womens health, I don't know which issue, I think april.
anyway, it lead you through reasons why we eat. One of the best recommendations was that when we are cold, even if we don't realize, in teh winter or from air conditioning in the summer our body uses our food as fuel to regulate temperature and cold makes our body ask for more fuel. It basically said if you feel hungry and you don't really know why drink a cup of hot tea or coffee or even ahot cocoa to warm the body and if you are still hungry after than you should look into other reason, boredom etc.
If I find the article I will post it.0 -
In addition though, diet pills ARE NOT THE ANSWER and incase you haven't been here in a few days I would recommend you read these posts. Diet pills are being recalled like crazy and it's only a matter of time until each and every one of them gets pulled off the shelves only to be replaced by more diet pill that will have the same consequences. There is NO quick fix.

exercise is a appetite suppressent
go do some
report back later
that is all0 -
put down the pills, walk away from the bathroom cabinate.
just kidding, but seriously though,
if you're feeling constantly hungry, even though you are eating correctly, then it's not real hunger.
Appetite suppresants don't fix, or even help this.
You need to figure out why you are always feeling hungry, is it because you aren't satisfying your nutritional requirments? Or maybe because you have eaten badly for so long your body doesn't know how to be full without being stuffed. The body releases ghrelin when it thinks it needs food, a person who has abused their body for a long time nutritionally (either by overeating, or eating really bad food for a long time) can have screwed up hormone release, so if you have changed to healthy eating for a while now (a few months) and still feel hungry, examine what you are eating, maybe your not getting enough protein, or healthy fats in your diet.
The last thing you should do is use an appetite suppresant, all these do is mask the issue, and many cause health problems of their own.0 -
Thanks for all the advice! And I am happy to report that I have not gone to buy any, and it seems to be letting up. :flowerforyou:0

Could it be a TOM thing? It never fails that 1 x month I will get cravings for things I normally wouldn't think twice about eating, I am more "snacky' then also. A few big glasses of water plus a nice long walk/run/yoga etc usually kicks cravings for me, not to mention it gets me away from the pantry.:flowerforyou:0

I also find that when I'm not drinking my water, I feel hungry. Maybe try a glass of water with lemon?
Another idea is to eat some veggies. Raw, steamed, whatever. Have them chopped up in the fridge ready to grab.
Are you eating enough protein? Try to choose foods that stay with you longer..if your blood sugar spikes, then crashes, you will be hungry.
Good luck!0 -

If you are eating enough protein.........
Meat
Eggs
Yogurt
String Cheese
And still have appetite issues, there is a natural supplement called L-Glutamine that helps out in this area............also helps with craving issues. It is a non-essential amino acid, which means your body makes it on its own.........
Here is a link with some information...........

Besides the other things listed cayenne pepper works for me. Also Coffee.0

What works for me...protein every meal, goodly amount of fiber, and lots of water. And if that doesn't work, I eat something that makes me gassy (as in bloated, just slightly). Seriously. Raw broccoli does wonders. At least I'm not feeling hungry.0
