Supplements?

Has anyone had any luck with any of the over the counter supplements? I feel like I need a little boost along with the diet and excersize but I don't want any side effects.

    I've been taking L-Carnitine supplements and I've noticed a huge difference in my level of energy. I take one 500 mg pill 30 minutes before breakfast and another one before lunch. No side effects that I notice except for I'm not as tired as I used to be, and that's a very good thing!
