BodyMedia Fit! / HR monitor

I have purchased a BodyMedia fit. I enjoy it very much, but I know there was a section about HR monitoring when I was comparing them, that said the Fit could have it with a 3rd party strap. I started looking at this today, but I had a question, and was hoping someone could help me.
Do I need to buy an entire device for this to work, i.e. getting a wrist piece that works with the chest strap, or, if I just buy a chest strap will that hook in with my fit?
Thanks!

From the Body Media site:
Which devices can I upload heart rate data from?
The Heart Rate feature should be compatible with any heart rate monitor supported by the Garmin Communicator Plugin. This list of devices may be updated frequently as Garmin releases new products. Note that the Garmin Communicator Plugin is currently known to have problems with Forerunner 110 model.
Devices that have been officially tested by BodyMedia for the Heart Rate integration into the Activity Manager: Forerunner 60 (aka FR60), Forerunner 305, Forerunner 610, Edge 305.
Im going to look further into it for you cuz I love my HRM.0
