new exercises for arms and belly???

I've been trying to shift those extra kilos I picked up before Christmas, and I'm eating quite well. It's just now doing more strength exercises.
I also walk for about 40 minutes most weekdays before work, so my cardio is pretty good. Just need some advice on other exercises I can do daily to help.

how heavy should the dead lifts be? and would I need to do them with a bar, or can they just be free weights?0
