Okay, so I've had little success with the eating I've been doing. I've been pretty much able to maintain my weight at the same time I cannot reach my goal and what's worse my cargo pants do not fit, which did during the summer, but then again I starved myself and hid the food. I'm eating more calories but I know the quality of my calories are not good. Long story short I'm eating within my caloric range but with lamo food. LOL, I want to do it right, not too little and not too much. I used to be very black or white about food, having oatmeal every night for dinner to lose weight, and I did... I just don't want to lose weight like that again, it was suffering.
Any tips for making eating very healthy fun and not difficult to do, I'm very obsessive about my weight that it's hurting me.

My only advice is to add a bag of frozen microwavable veggies to every meal. They fill you up for little calories. You can still enjoy the other less nutrient dense foods in smaller amounts.0

You look like you are at a pretty healthy weight, but if you would like to lean out and eat healthy, delicious food at the same time, check out the primal/paleo way of eating. Check out Mark's Daily Apple or Robb Wolf's site.
The food is delicious. You get to eat healthy fats, veggies, fruits, meat. Its not hard unless you make it difficult. There is a lot of info out there about it too. You'll need to clean up your diet, but the results are worth it. I've been dropping weight and losing my belly pretty consistently. Its worth a look!0 -
eating within your calorie limits but eating bad food is pointless..... so many people say that as long as your within your calorie limits, it doesn't matter what you eat - totally incorrect. I think you have to feed your body right. simple as that.
I try to eat high protein, high fiber... I eat 1600-2100 calories a day.
Check out my blog - I post foods I eat, and recipes I love. marysforkandspoon.blogspot.com

You're learning to eat a new way, and you're going to do it the rest of your life. Eating in a way that is unsustainable, either because it's nutritionally lacking or because you're unhappy, is a waste of time.
It sounds like this is about more than just food. This is upsetting you more than it is motivating you. You might think about getting counseling.0 -
I'm not sure what the question is. Are you needing to eat MORE calories? LESS or the same amount but of a better variety?
Wha'ts your age, height / weight and what are you doing for exercise?0 -
Look at other people's food diaries. Maybe that will give you some idea of healthier meals.0

when you are close to goal weight you have to be consistent much longer to see results. My food diary is open, I am trying to be better about logging but I found Jamie Eason's meal plan to be very easy and you really do eat tons of food, if you eat the right foods. you can read about it here:

Another good way to break it down is take the approved foods list and eat:
fruit and protein for breakfast, vegetable and a protein for lunch, protein and vegetable for snack, protein/vegetable/complex carb for dinner.
So pick foods that you like and mix them up in ways you want. I am a112 and maintaining and that allows me about 1500 cals per day before exercise.
The best thing is to plan ahead so you have what you need, and plan for your treats too, like if you know you are going out to dinner, you can go a little lighter earlier. Fruit and greek yogurt (I love chobani) are good options, and portable.
Good luck and if you want more ideas, you can look for a group "not that heavy girls" and there's lots of good stuff on clean eating recipes and other strategies for losing the last few pounds.0 -
Depends on what im craving for but say Im craving chips, I`ll go buy chips and eat what the serving suggestion is then I`ll roll up the bag and hide it behind the microwave. OUTTA SIGHT, OUTTA MIND thats what i always say0

Your eating is pretty sporadic with some days way under and missed meals and other days over with a lot of processed foods. As others have said that is not the healthiest way to sustain wt loss. At least the Luna Bars are pure ingredients with no added stuff. Try looking on the website www.skinnytaste.com for recipes.0

You're in the same boat I was by the sound of it... hooked on processed food and you have a perception, even if you rationally know it's not true, that healthier foods aren't as tasty or as much fun.
I've spent much of the last year trying to reboot my relationship with food. What I am discovering, weird as it may sound, is that with time eating healthy "real" food is actually much more tasty and fun than eating stuff out of a box. The key for me was to start figuring out new ways to cook things. Lean meats and fish can be made to taste endlessly varied depending on what glazes, herbs or sauces you whip them up with. Vegetables - which I used to loathe - are just delicious if you cook them right. Nuts and seeds are so much more convenient as snacks than more processed stuff. Eggs, omg, eggs are my lifesaver - million different ways to cook them up good.
The other key for me, and this was really hard, was in realizing that I didn't need to deprive myself of anything. I still eat curries, mexican, chinese stir fries, burgers, subs etc. I just try to make them at home with lower calories and lower sodium and fresher ingredients.
The cravings for processed foods really do get less over time. If you can struggle through those first few weeks you'll find yourself starting to habitually reach for the good stuff instead of the bad.
Oh yeah, and with that said, it really helps to read around the subject of food too and gather new perspectives on it. I recommend "In Defense of Food" by Michael Pollan, and "Savor" by Thich Nhat Hahn as great places to start.0 -
That's an awesome way of seeing things, for sure I'm going to remind myself of this.0
