I've converted to a healthy lifestyle for about two years now. I love the choices I make with my food selection!
Yes, there are times when I treat myself to sweets! Who doesn't? I feel if we work hard, we owe ourselves something nice from time to time. For example, Sunday I had monkey bread with melted chocolate drizzled on top! YUMMY
I am lucky at the fact that my household (my husband and I) are on the SAME page when it comes to nutrition and fitness. It is always easier when you have your support team right there with you. My husband and I spoke about lowering our pasta intake and significantly lowering our beef intake as well. Right now we are down to once a week eating the following high calories foods: (1) Brown Rice (2) Whole wheat Pasta. Our choice in whole wheat bread is not bad at all; it's only 50 calories per slice!!!
I workout out 4-5 days a week right now, I've altered my workouts from 6 days a week. In the summer I typically pick it back up again to 5-6 days a week. I incorporate running, BeachBody programs and weight training as I've done before. I love what I do and I love to share my tips others!
