How do you tell the difference?

ok so lately I have been noticing that I just can't get full, even right after I eat. It's not like this oh I'm just hungry feeling it's more like constant stomach growling and hunger pains. I found out that recently I haven't been eating enough due to exercise so I am working on that. I feel like I'm constantly eating now so I don't think that I'm truly that hungry. My job is very stressful and yet at other times very boring. I've notice my hunger issues usually happen the most when I'm at work. Could this be that I'm not really hungry but instead bored and/or stressed? How do you tell the difference between real hunger and boredom/stress hunger?

  • I used to eat out of boredom and stress as well. I found that when I get that tinge in my belly, I drink a full glass of water. If after 10 or 20 mins I still feel hungry I will have a very light snack. Try eating more fiber rich foods to make you not feel hungry after eating maybe

calculate calories throughout ur weight loss frequently... u probably really are hungry, spread out ur meals so u are eating less of a portion but more frequently throughout the day. as the person above me said, water soothes my hunger a lot!!! as a general rule, i will not start to eat a meal without first drinking a glass of water. not only does it assure u will get enough water during the day, but ur less hungry after u eat.
