DESPISE VITAMINS, GAG EVERY TIME

I eat a lot of fruits and vegetables. However, I still think that I should take a multi-vitamin, iron & calcium daily. Especially because I'm a vegetarian.
But whenever I go to swallow that damn multi-vitamin I want to gag. Sometimes I cannot swallow it! The taste is so horrible. Does anyone else have this issue? Is there some less painful way of getting your multi-vitamin?

Try a different brand? I have trouble swallowing large pills. There are also chewy varieties, or fizzy tablets you dissolve in water.0

Do you know where I can get the fizzy tablets?0

I take gummy vitamins, and they are delicious. I have no shame lol!0

Why not try liquid vitamins? My vitamins are from Buried Treasure. They're in a low calorie juice base and are extracted from WHOLE Fruits and Vegetables (not cooked up in some lab!)
They're called VM-100 (100 vitamins and minerals). They can be mixed into water, juice or whatever you'd like and you only take 2Tbsp's a day. I even mix them into smoothies.0 -
Emergen-C is a box of packets of powdered vitamins that you put in water or juice. They are good quality - you can buy them at a high end health food store or walmart - I buy them at walmart for quite a bit less. It is a very good multi-vitamin, and because you take it as a liquid, your body is more able to access and use the vitamins. There are various flavors, and you have further control over the flavor by how much water you put it in or which fruit juice you put it in.0

Some brands taste different to others. Just try a different brand.
And the chewable ones are good too but they're more expensive.0 -

I take mine in the morning... I wash em down with juice. I hate the taste as well, and have trouble sometimes if I just use water. Juice seems to help, by giving me something else to taste.0

I just started taking one-a-day gummy multivitamins. They're perfect! I was the same way... They're fruity and delicious and it's easy to make them the first part of your day. Since I've started taking them, I've been on top of it!0

Google vegetarian/vegan chewable multivitamins. I found a couple that way, plus if you have a good size health food store I'm sure they would have some too. I think most were for kids, but I take kids chewable myself since for some reason it's easier to 'remember' to take those than regular vitamins....0

There are some brands of gummy vitamins that are vegetarian; only concern is that many are for kids, so you have to take more, and then you have to spend more.

Try gummies..although they can be quite expensive.
I never gag trying to take my vitamins (even though they are horse pills lol) but I always feel like I have to puke if I take mine on a partially empty stomach. I've learned to take them after I've eaten my breakfast.0
