Looking for a new bathroom scale ....

Our current scale is a Taylor digital scale. It displays in .5 increments. We have had this scale for probably about 10 years or more. There is nothing wrong with it, but I would like to get one that displays in lower increments and also one that analyzes body fat. I know it is not going to be as accurate as a professional BF% analysis, but I feel like it should give me a good idea of where I'm at.

What kind of scale do you have or recommend? What else should I look for as far as features?

I bought this scale and I am very happy with it. One thing I can say for sure, that it is consistant. I have had scales that would give three different weights when stepping on it three seperate times in a row.

My old scale was a Taylor too : )
I could get 3 differnt weights for me in 5 minutes.

I bought one at Aldi this week - do you have them near you?
It is on sale for About $17.00.
Measures Body fat & weighs in 0.1# increments ( I think) It seems more accurate- I cant say if it is.
But I like it (it weighs me 2# less then my Taylor (Dh likes it too- LOL)

How can a scale you stand on possibly know what your internal body make up of fat% is? Just curious

I just purchased this one, and I loooove it! The reviews on it were fantastic and it was very reasonably priced. I honestly can't say if it does body fat or not, I always thought a bathroom scale just did your weight :)
I have tested it out by weighing myself both morning and night, and it does register the miniscule difference!

I have one that is co-branded WeightWatchers, and was sold to me as being "very accurate". I was promised "repeatability" for that $100.

It works well enough....has all the usual analyses, and can store up to 4 people (I think).

But here's the thing.... I bought it because my previous scale could be 2lbs out just stepping off and back on. Well, my new one is just as unpredictable. Ths morning, it actually spun through about 3lbs of weights while I was standing on it. (Admittedly, that is unusual for it.) But it is routinely several tenths of a pound out from one reading to the next, just getting off and back on.

Then I learned that most manufacturers, despite their claims of accuracy, consider a 5lb variance to be acceptable. 5lbs!!

I dont know how it does this or how accurate it is. You have to step on the metal sensors.

I had figured out my body fat last week with a link someone had posted.
On the scale last night I was 1% higher for body fat.
(oh & the scale I bought has memory for 12 people)

My advice. Don't get a scale. They are torture. Threw mine out. I was to obsessed with that # which meant nothing.
Now I go by the fit of my clothes and how I feel. Don't need a #.

I dont have one, and to think I am having surgery next week....I dont want one, the docs scale is calibrated on a reg basis and is enough for me.

We have one at work, I work in a hospital as a nurse, and its always always alwasy 8-10 lbs higher, In the 3 yrs I have been there I dont think I ahve ever seen it calibrated at all....

I have a Taylor scale that does increments of .2 and measures body fat. You can store 3-4 people's info so you don't have to input your gender, age and height in every time you want to check your body fat. Of course if you're like me, you're so obese that the scale can't even register your body fat because you go beyond it's capability of measuring it or whatever. I'm hoping to be able to get a number for that before I move in a few months. If not, it's no big deal because I know that I will still be going home lighter than I was at the beginning of this year (and right now hopefully).
