I'm wondering if someone can help me. I see every now and again that people can attribute calories to lbs lost. How do you work out how many calories will result in weight loss. Whats the mathematical equation behind this!

3500 is equal to one lb of fat (or weight), using this equation is how MFP works out your caloric defecit for the day according to how many 1lbs you want to lose per week. if you are aiing for a 1lb p/w loss then you have to eat 3500 fewer cals , split that into seven days gives you a daily defecit of 500 cals.0
