Well Hello There :)

Hello everyone!

So I started using this as an app on my Android phone about a week ago, when my partner and I *finally* got serious about losing the podge we've put on over the three years we've been together (it's happiness :P)

I thought it'd be nice to make some friends on here, mainly because I'm a nosey parker, but also because it's nice to have friends!

I'm not really doing a "diet" as such, just eating better - less takeaways and less biscuits/chocolate! And I'm trying to stick to a daily calorie count.
Exercise-wise, I'm mainly just walking, but walking more and walking better! Rather than ordering in, we'll walk up into the village to buy healthy dinner stuff from the supermarket! Our dog loves the long walks too!
We've had a couple of bike rides but the seat hurts my bum! :P
Eventually I hope to start jogging and running, but I think I'm a little way off that at the moment, I need to learn to control my breathing a little better!

Anyway, I just thought I'd stop by and say Hi :)

    Welcome! This is a great APP! And thanks for the add! Always nice to have motivated people as friends! My goal is losing 40-50 lbs and I have already lost 20! So Im here for any helpful tips as well! :) I have a group on facebook if your on there too. :)

    Just to warn you, I'll probably get really demotivated in a couple of weeks when I just really desperately want a Starbucks and a chocolate bar!! I'll try to keep it to myself though :P

    Don't keep it yourself- that's the whole point of this social thing, so that folks can support you.

    Also, you can have Starbucks and a chocolate bar - you can eat anything you want by either a) exercising lots b) eating less other stuff or c) just going over you calories for the day. You can also substitute things i.e. an Americano coffee instead of a latte w syrup and a MilkyWay bar instead of a Moro bar etc.

    Well I only have Americano coffees anyway, so I don't think it's too bad, it's just the caramel waffle that my hand grabs before my brain even thinks about it! Is it true that dark chocolate is actually good for you?
