I hope this is not a dumb question.

Ive been wearing a sweat suit when I work out on the elliptical. Should I enter more calories burned than what my elliptical says since I am wearing the sweat suit? If so how many more calories should I add?

Getting a heart rate monitor (HRM) with a chest strap will give you a more accurate account of calories burned than the machine will.
Even one without a chest strap is probably more accurate than the machine.

My personal experience is that my HRM shows a higher calorie burned than the machine whereas others show less.
I'm sure with the sweat suit it'd be higher than the machine shows.

    Don't wear a sweat suit. Just don't.

I always err on the conservative side. I'm also thinking more sweat doesn't mean more calories burned...just means more water lost.

    And I agree with Sublog...Just don't. Lol!

my old trainer told me not to. cause its just water weight,. he said to drop it naturally. in my PERSONAL suggestion i would say no. my cousin did it once, only to fit in a dress for the weekend..
