Time will pass whether you do it or you don’t

If there is an entry in the dictionary under “very slow weight loss” my picture is probably beside it. I am the poster child of plateau, slow weight loss, frustration, trying this method and that method. My slow weight loss is probably because:
1- I have PCOS
2- I am 4’11’’
3- And I refuse to starve myself
140 lbs

Between those 2 pictures: about 12 pounds and 6 months. My weight loss graph is more like a roller coaster then a slide. Let me tell you that my slow weight loss was NOT because I didn’t log my food or didn’t work very hard in the gym!!! I worked so freaking hard every single days and I was seeing all those post “I lost 100 pounds in 7 months!!!!” and “I am at goal after 100 days”. I was happy for them….but was wondering why it was not happening to me to.
Weight loss = 19 pounds after 16 months

My weight loss has been very slow…..but I did not quit and the result is that I am healthier then I have ever been. Time will pass whether you do it or you don’t. How will you feel about yourself next month? Next Year? Better or worst….it is your choice

I understand, I have lost 19 pounds in about 200 days, however long that is. But I do not starve, I eat my exercise calories. But I'm happy and feel like this is something that I can keep up with the rest of my life. So congratulations. I think that some of the people that lose weight faster might be on a diet and not be able to keep up with it long term. I hope they can.0

Great post.
So many times I've given up after a couple of weeks and then 6 months later wondered how I'd have looked had I just continued. Hpoefully, this time, I'll know the answer!0 -
Great post - thank you so much! In the beginning I was losing pretty quick and steady. I have slowed down significantly and I know I can't give up.
You are an inspiration!0 -
Absolutely!
If weightloss were easy and fast, no one would quit and everyone would be thin! You have to work for it... and it's really sinking in that it's going to take a while. All I have to do is keep doing what I'm doing right now... and things WILL change!0 -
I love this post!0
