I work in an office, at a desk, however I had my workstation made into a standing workstation. So basically I stand all day (which I hear is better than sitting all day). I do walk around every hour or so- but nothing like if it were a retail job constantly on my feet back and forth.

What would you consider it? Sedentary or lightly active? I want to make sure I'm entering it correctly because it makes the difference of 130 calories (1200 cals vs. 1330) in my allowance for the day.

MFP considers lightly active as "spending a good part of the day on your feet". I'd probably choose that. I would only choose sedentary if i were literally sitting all day.

I chose sedentary at first, since I can spend most of my day sitting. However, I've moved up to lightly active after keeping track of what I *do* all day :

    making kids breakfast
up and down stairs multiple times for napping children
    constant picking up of toys
let the dog in and out and in and out
run kids back and forth to the toilet
    make kids snack
    do the laundry
    chase the kids
    dance with the kids
    make the lunch
    clean up the lunch
shovel the driveway whiel waiting for the bus
    clean up
    make dinner
    go to gym
    shop for a few minutes
    ..............bedroom activities.

PinkEarth- I would definitely agree that you are NOT sedentary. :)

Definitely Lightly Active. If you go home and care for children, I'd change it to Moderately Active.
