Distraction

What do you do when you want to eat.???

So, I've discovered that I eat when I'm stressed mainly as a distraction from the things I am worrying about. I have a 15 month old daughter at home with me while I work...any ideas for what I should do to distract me from my stressors and the desire to go scarf down a bag of chips?

    Go for a walk (even if it's just laps around the house). Lift some weights. Punch a pillow (great for the arms and for frustration!). Get away from the food and the stress for a couple minutes. It makes a difference!

    Maybe reach for a stress ball instead of the chips.

    That's exactly what I did. Thank you! I put the baby in the stroller and took a walk. Unfortunately, I can't always do it but it worked today.
