How is your language part of your identity?
I am writing an argumentative essay and I have to relate it to Gloria Anzaldua's essay "How to Tame a Wild Tongue." In it she says, "Ethnic identity is twin skin to linguistic identity- I am my language." I have a vague idea on what I am writing about for each paragraph, but I am not 100% sure. I would like some answers on:
1) What you think that quote means, and
2) Why you think language is part of your identity (ideas that I can use as supporting topics)
Thank you!
