The elliptical at my gym has been grossly OVERestimating my calories burned. For an intense hour, it tells me usually between 870 and 900 calories burned. I just used my brand spankin' new Polar FT40, and it came out to more like 570.
That's really disappointing.
Oh well, at least now I'll have an accurate picture of the calories I burn while exercising and I'll be able to plan my caloric intake more appropriately.
Has anyone else had a similar experience?
