Correlation between eating the goal of fat and energy?

I have felt abit lethargic since tracking my calories and noticed when i look at my fat intake is is at least half as low as it should be...do you think my eating too low of fat contributes too this? I've always tried to eat lowfat, but many on a 1200 calorie diet i need to meet the goal for energy?

Play with your macro ratios to find what suits your body. Fats are important for a healthy diet. Also, fat doesn't "make you fat". If you feel like you are not getting enough fat, then try eating more for a few days. Have an extra ounce or half-ounce of almonds.
How many grams of fat are you getting, though?0 -
Hi there, it seemed like i would be lucky to get 15-20 grams a fat a day, sometimes even less...think i've just eaten low fat for so many years that i just naturally eat that way, plus i'm a vegetarian. I've been checking my fat calories and increasing them closer to what the goal is and am feeling alot more energetic so I must of needed it right. Your so right, fat doesn't make you fat.0

Fat is vital in many hormonal functions of the body. Too little has been associated with depression among other ailments. You don't want to go crazy with the fat, but too low and you will not be getting the essential fatty acids your body needs. The other possibility is that you simply are not eating enough. The key is a reasonable calorie deficit. Without knowing a lot more about you I can't comment, but I know one of my MFP friends was struggling with seeming constant illness. He bumped his calories up quite a bit, and the problems went away, at least they have to this point. Generally, unless you are morbidly obese, you shouldn't eat below your BMR, even though MFP puts people there regularly.0

Yep!!! I did a low fat diet once for 3 months. I was so tried and depressed all the time, I honestly hated my life and didnt want to do anything. Plus I gained weight doing it. Now its full fat or nothing!
I would add avocados and nuts to your diet! You will have to play around with it till you find what works for you.0 -
if you eat to much fat it will store on your body, that's why you get cellulite they say not to go below 20grams of fat you drop your fat grams as you lose weight don't drop all at once0
