If you go to a local shoe store to get the free gait analysis and get assistance getting fitted for the "right" shoes for you please, at least, have the decency to by SOMETHING from the store. This equipment is NOT free, the people that work at these stores are not volunteers.

I see many, and a growing number, of people saying they're doing this on this site and recommending others do this.

Let me say this in caps:

IF YOU CONTINUE TO DO THIS THESE LOCAL BUSINESSES THAT PROVIDE THESE SERVICES WILL CEASE TO EXIST.

Please stop taking advantage of these businesses like this and SUPPORT them, by buying local.

With that said I fully support these businesses charging for the gait analysis if done ala carte. If you purchase your shoes there then the analysis can be complimentary.

Support the little guys folks, they're your fellow local runners.
