Okay, so I haven't been counting the sugar from fruits, but should I still count the sugar in fruit juice?

Most definitely! Juice is empty calories. I try to keep all forms of sugar under 15 gm a day - that's from the Belly Fat Cure Diet plan.

Yes! I never realised before how much sugar was in fruit juice and it is ALL i would drink. It is REALLY not good if you are limiting sugar intake. Switch to no-added sugar cordials and you WILL notice the difference! :)

Couldn't agree more. Absolutely vital, if you are already in the lower fat zone. I always struggle to get that low. I can reduce carbs but sugar as percent of carbs is still high for me. How do you manage to keep below 15g per day?

It is sooo hard! More veggies than fruits :(
I eat vegan for the most part (some fish now and then) and try to stay under 150 gm of carbs and 15 gm of sugar/day. I have lost 19 lbs. in 6 wks and it has worked great for me so far, I only drink coffee and water and have changed to Truvia as a sweetener. Surprisingly, I have a huge sweet tooth, but after limiting the sugars I don't crave it anymore and when I do have something like strawberries, it is soooo sweet now.

Plus cutting back on the sugar automatically reduces your calorie intake!

    Excellent, sent you FR!
  • Thanks for the feedback! Alrighty then, I wanted to make sure because I had a nice cup of Cranberry Pomegranate juice this morning and I logged it and saw how many grams of sugar were in it, and Oh my gosh. 30 grams of sugar per cup and I'm supposed to only have 2g per day, I'm going to shop around, see what I can afford to fix this, because just water in the morning doesn't wake me up, and I hate coffee. I used to drink tea, but I don't like it without sugar. Having a sweet tooth makes cutting back on sugar harder.
