new rules of lifting

Forgive me if my questions are silly. I've tried googling but can't find any decent answers. Please feel free to point me to any websites or articles that may help.

I have 35 lbs. to lose. (I have already lost and maintained about 60 lbs for the past 2 years with a combination of calories deficits and mostly cardio). I started NROLFW about 4 weeks ago. I remain perplexed about (if?) I can lose the last 35 lbs on this program. He advises against calorie restriction greater than 300/day, but is it really possible to drop as much weight as I am trying to on this plan? I concede that if I reach a size 8 in pants(I am size 10 jeans now) and my weight is still a higher number than I'd like, I would be happy to just stay there. I also admit

I guess I am having a hard time believing this program can help someone with weight loss...but I know that I have been brainwashed by years of weight loss programs. Any advice or direction to valid resources would be appreciated. Thanks!
