Anyone else celebrate ANTI-VERSARIES??

Yesterday would have been my ex boyfriend and I's 6 year anniversary. We broke up back in November because he decided to move to Africa to work at a casino (seriously). So, yesterday I surrounded myself with great friends, and we had drinks in honor of my anti-versary! (and now today I am nursing my hang over :drinker:)

Anyone else celebrate anti-versaries? Or anything like it?? I'd love to hear about it!

I celebrately my 2 year Antiversarry (from my divorce) by marrying my sweetheart. Now, I don't really think about them and don't need to celebrate them.

But, I did have a big party after my divorce LOL

i will remember my 3 years apart from my violent ex on July 4th this year
I also rememberd my 5 years from having an ectopic pregnancy (valentine's Day)
dont think i actually celebrate - but i do, and always will remember

all depends why the anti-versaries happen I suppose

Nope I don't. I mentally dump all those useless dates from my brain once I dump the (ex)boyfriend. Too many other things for me to keep track of, he doesn't get any more of my mental space or energy :)

Seems kind of bitter to me? No offense.. I'm just saying I wouldn't purposely remember a day I broke up with someone. Since yours happened in November though, I can see how it's still very fresh.

Sadly I did remember the date my ex confessed he cheated and so for a couple of years during that month I'd get extremely stressed out. I couldn't tell you what that date is anymore though!

I wonder if I'll even remember my would have been anniversary this year.. hmmm. I can't even tell you the date that I filed for divorce. I have a horrible memory!

No offense taken! We ended on good terms, it was really just the distance that got to us. Really, it's just a good reason to get friends together and have a good time (not that a real reason is ever needed for that!) and keep my mind off of him!

I'm sure this date will eventually be forgotten! Sometimes having a horrible memory works out in the long run! Especially for situations like this
