Hello everyone! I'm not that new to this app but I'm very new to the community. Wanted to say hello and hopefully meet some great people to keep me motivated in achieving my goal to be normal weight. Right now I'm still in the obese class at 245.2lbs though I started here 50 days ago at 265. About three years ago at my highest 311.5 is when I realized I can't continue with the life I was leading.

A little about my history. I played football for years through out school and after football I continued to eat without care. The problem obviously being is that the fuel I was putting in me had no place to go. Eventually I was at my highest weight and very little of it was muscle compared to before. I lost a lot of weight and it was awesome but after I got to about 250lbs I lost motivation and went back to eating anything again. About 8-10 months ago I got back up to 275lbs. I started having chest pains. After going to different doctors. I found out I had high blood pressure but other than the BP it wasn't really nothing other than muscle pains. BIG RELIEF! After some time went by is when I accepted the fact that I'm not meant to be a big guy. I've been under this delusion that some people our just built big! Well to some degree that is true, though I'm not excepting that for me anymore!

So here I am trying to achieve my goal to get to 174lbs. Thankfully my fiance is right beside me helping me and going to the gym with me too. I know things can get tough. That is why I've decided to introduce myself to everyone to meet people and help get some motivation. Feel free to add me as friend! I wish the best of luck to everyone on there journey to a healthier life!

Hey Shane, welcome to the forums. I have a similar track record. Got up to 300lbs then down to 215 then back up to 260 now down to 199. My goal is about the same as yours' as well, 175. I used to think the same thing about myself, that I had a "big frame", but when I started losing weight I saw the fat drop off and my joints get very thin. I see now that I actually have a fairly small frame, which probably didn't help the extra 125 lbs i've been carrying around.

Anyways, welcome again, and i'll be sending you a friend request.

Hey man, I actually saw your post in the occupations thread before this one. We're pretty close in goals (I want to get a little lower than you, but I'm ~232lbs right now), and I'm currently in school for graphic design! I'm going to send you a friend request, welcome to the community!
