Feeling unmotivated lately

I was working out 3-5 times a week at the gym. My energy levels were soaring and my motivation was at its peak. Lately I have been doing the 30 day shred and afterwards I feel so exhausted that I can't get myself to go to the gym. I have had both of my acl's replaced and I now have arthritis in my knees. The next day after doing the 30 day shred my knees are so sore and I can't bring myself to go to the gym then either or do another round of 30ds.. What is going on with me? Is this normal? Im having a hard time with this. I can't and wont give up but I really need to find a way to get back on track. Any suggestions on where to go from here?

    Hi.

I don't know too much about 30 day shred but from watching a few clips online it seems like the knees get a lot of work. The increased pain and discomfort could be coming from overwork or improper alignment. You might need to lay off the 30 Day shred until you lose some more weight or until you strengthen your thigh, calves and ankles.

Definitely rest when your knees hurt because they will not stop hurting when you push through. Get some rest. I always sleep with a pillow between my knees even if they don't hurt. Show your knees some love with a massage. Clove and lavender oils are soothing and warming (make sure to mix them with a carrier or lotion). If you don't want to stop working out, Walk. Walking will burn the calories too.

I have knee pains myself and I do martial arts and kickboxing 6 times a week. It has never been the exercise that makes my knees hurt but improper alignment.

    Brittany :)

Thanks! I have never tried to use oils for my pain. Maybe I will give it a try. I think I will lay off of the 30ds for a while and just hit the gym again. I have seen such good results on here that I just really wanted to be able to give it a try. Hopefully I will be able to give it a go later and have great success with it.
